YOUR QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • If you are not familiar with group classes or feel a little bit nervous then try a Private Solo Session to get to know your teacher, the studio and the method. These sessions can be practiced at your own pace with space for you to ask questions should you need.

If you are comfortable with group classes then a good place to start would be our Intro Reformer classes, these are suitable for anyone new to Pilates and working on the apparatus.

We also offer Matwork classes which is our most affordable option which are suitable for beginners to Pilates. These classes are mixed ability so you may be offered modifications and alternatives suitable to your ability.

  • Simply bring yourself and a bottle of water. We provide all the equipment and mats.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing you can move easily in.

Our suggestion would be leggings or shorts for the bottom half, for men cycle shorts underneath regular shorts work well, and a not too baggy top that allows you to move.

Please ensure there are no zips on your clothing as this can damage the leather coverings on the apparatus.

Bare feet or socks are fine for in the studio. Note you do NOT need to have ‘grip’ socks, this is a common misconception.

  • Yes, we have a large clean disabled access toilet that is suitable for you to change in.

We also have a client wait area where you can leave your shoes and coats. Feel free to come early and wait here, you will not disturb the previous class if you do.
